Volunteer Coordinator Needed for Future Terry Fox Run Fundraising Events

Following the success of our 2026 Terry Fox Run fundraiser, we are looking for one or more volunteers to coordinate this event in future years on behalf of the Canadian Social Club of WA.

This year’s event was a wonderful success, with 33 participants taking part, including many non-members. Together we raised $700 for the Harry Perkins Institute, thanks to the generosity of our walkers and the club’s contribution.

The event ran smoothly, and feedback indicated that everything went well. With the continued interest from both members and non-members, we would love to keep this important fundraising tradition going.

To make this possible, we are seeking volunteers who would be willing to:

  • Coordinate planning and logistics for future Terry Fox Runs
  • Track registrations and communications
  • Arrange refreshments and event supplies
  • Help promote the event to members and the wider community
  • Coordinate fundraising activities and donations

You do not need previous event management experience, and support will be available from the Club Committee. This is a rewarding opportunity to help our club support a worthy cause while bringing our community together.

If you are interested in helping coordinate future Terry Fox Run events, please contact the Committee at info@canadianclubofwa.com at your earliest convenience.
